Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams Dry Green Peas
  • 2 Medium Onions
  • 3 Medium Tomatoes
  • 1.5 Inch Ginger
  • 6 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Green Chili
  • 1/2 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri Lal Mirch Powder
  • 1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tbsp Chana Masala Powder

Instructions
 

  • Soak Dry Green Peas over night in water.
  • Boil Green Peas in a pressure cooker with 1/2 tbsp of baking soda for 4 to 5 whistles
  • Cut onion, garlic, green chili and ginger in to pieces, add to mixer grinder and make a fine paste
  • Now cut tomatoes add to mixer grinder and make a fine paste.
  • Heat a thick pan, add 3 big tbsp oil, add the onion, garlic, ginger and green chili paste and stir from time to time till the paste turns slightly golden brown and the rawness from the paste goes away.
  • At this stage add tomato paste.
  • Keep stirring from time to time, after 5 min add all the spices and mix well till oil starts separating out
  • Add boiled green peas to the pan, add 1 cup of water if required add another 1/2 cup to maintain the consistency and bring it to boil.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and butter
